Fifty Years. Two Generations. One Family.
RP Diamond & Gold Imports was founded by Roger Pessah in San Francisco more than fifty years ago. What began as a deep expertise in diamonds and fine metalwork grew, over decades, into one of the city's most trusted private jewelry practices — built not on advertising or foot traffic, but on the quality of every piece and the trust of every client.
Today, Roger works alongside his son Ian — a second generation trained in the same gemological rigor and the same commitment to the client. The practice has remained intentionally small: a private studio at 868 Brannan Street, Suite 301, where every client receives the full attention of the family.
The majority of clients arrive by referral. A mother brings her son to commission an engagement ring from the same jeweler who crafted her own, twenty-five years before. That is not a business story. That is a love story.

When you come to RP Diamond & Gold Imports, you work directly with Roger, Kham, Sigal, Ian or another of our experienced private jewelers — never a sales associate, never a commissioned floor rep. The studio is private. The conversation is focused entirely on you: the occasion, the person, the vision.
We will ask questions that no sales floor ever asks. What does this moment mean to you? What does the person you are buying for notice first when they look at a piece of jewelry? What do you want them to feel the moment they see it? Those answers are where the design begins.
From that first conversation to the finished piece, you have direct access to the people making it. There are no handoffs, no intermediaries, no surprises. Only the piece you imagined — realized exactly as you conceived it, or better.
