CUSTOM JEWELRY
Conceived in Conversation. Realized in Metal and Stone.
Every piece we provide begins the same way — with a direct conversation with Roger, Kham, Ian or another of our experienced private jewelers.
Whether you are creating something entirely new or restoring a piece that carries decades of meaning — every outcome begins here, in that first conversation.
Custom Jewelry Design
A Piece No One Else in the World Owns
Your custom piece begins the moment you share your vision with us. Arrive with a complete concept, a sketch, an inspiration image, or simply a feeling — Roger and Ian bring the design expertise and gemological knowledge to translate it into something real. You work directly with them at every stage, from the first sketch through stone selection to the finished setting.
The result is wholly yours. Not a catalogue choice or a modified template — a reflection of your relationship, your style, and the occasion that called for it. These are the pieces our clients' children one day ask the story behind.
1. Discovery Conversation: Share your vision, occasion, and budget with Roger or Ian in a private, pressure-free session.
2. Design & Stone Selection: We present design directions and source stones matching your criteria — cut, clarity, color, and character.
3. Craftsmanship & Delivery: Your piece is handcrafted to exact specification and presented in a private reveal appointment.
Restoration & Care
The Pieces That Carry the Most Meaning Deserve the Most Care
An heirloom ring passed from grandmother to granddaughter. A wedding band worn for forty years that needs to look its best for forty more. These are not transactions — they are responsibilities. We treat every restoration as though the piece is irreplaceable, because to you, it is.
Our restoration and care services include prong re-tipping and resetting, band resizing, surface refinishing and polishing, stone replacement and matching, and full cleaning and inspection. We also offer ongoing care partnerships for clients who want their pieces examined and maintained annually.
Bring us the ring your mother wore on her wedding day. We will return it to you looking exactly as it should — and make sure it is strong enough to be worn for another generation.
Estate & Private Acquisition
Exceptional Pieces, Sourced Outside the Ordinary
Some of the finest diamonds and gemstones never appear in a showroom window. They pass quietly between estates, private collections, and specialist traders — and finding them requires both deep expertise and the right relationships. Roger and Ian have spent fifty years building both.
Whether you are seeking to acquire an exceptional stone, evaluate and authenticate a piece from an estate, or sell a significant item discreetly and at fair value, we provide the gemological knowledge and private-market access to act as your trusted advisor throughout the process.
Estate and private acquisition engagements are handled entirely in confidence. Every evaluation is independent. Every recommendation serves your interests alone.
Where Your Story Becomes a Setting
Tell us about the occasion. Tell us about the person. We will take care of everything else.
Common Questions
What to Expect Working With Us
Do I need to know exactly what I want before my first appointment?
Not at all. Many of our clients arrive with a feeling rather than a finished concept — a mood, a reference image, or simply a sense of the occasion and the person. Roger and Ian are experienced at listening carefully and translating that into design directions you can respond to. The first conversation is exploratory, not transactional.
How long does a custom piece take from start to finish?
Most custom projects are completed in four to eight weeks from the point of design approval and stone selection. Timelines vary based on complexity, stone sourcing, and setting requirements. We discuss expected timelines at your first appointment and keep you informed at each stage.
How is pricing determined for a custom piece?
Pricing reflects the cost of materials — stones, metal, and any specialized components — plus the craft and time required to execute the design. We discuss budget openly during your consultation and work within it. There is no pressure to exceed your range, and we will always present options at multiple price points when they exist.
Is a private jeweler right for me if I have never worked with one before?
Most of our clients came to us for the first time as referrals from family or close friends. The experience differs from a retail jeweler in one important way: you work directly with the jeweler, not a sales associate. The conversation is personal, unhurried, and entirely focused on what you want to create. There is no sales floor, no commission pressure, and no substitute for that direct relationship.
Can you restore or repair a piece you did not originally create?
Yes. We restore and care for pieces from any origin — estate pieces, family heirlooms, and work from other jewelers. Every restoration begins with a careful evaluation of the piece's condition, construction, and history. We will give you an honest assessment of what is possible and what the work entails before any restoration begins.
